Each year qualified dependent children of full-time CITGO employees and retirees can apply for a limited number of academic scholarships to assist high school seniors who plan to pursue a post-secondary education at an accredited four-year college or university. Preference is given to students majoring in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Environmental Engineering and Metallurgy.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be children* of regularly scheduled employees or retired employees of CITGO or one of the subsidiary companies who have completed a minimum of one year of employment as of the application deadline date.
* Dependent children are defined as natural and legally adopted children or stepchildren living in a parental relationship with the eligible employee or retiree.
Applicants must be:
- high school seniors who plan to graduate in the year of application
- have a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent)
- plan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study at an accredited four-year college or university no later than fall 2021.

All applications must be completed by the student and submitted online by February 18, 2021 at 3pm CST. No paper applications will be accepted.
